Drop off v3

New Zealand Hearing and COVID-19

As you've heard, COVID-19 is a serious viral infection and we want you to know your New Zealand Hearing clinics are taking all recommended precautions and safety measures to ensure a safe environment. The health of our clients and audiologists are our top priority. We will update this page frequently to keep you up-to-date on our response to recommendations.

Clinics are Open for Appointments

Our clinics are open for in-person appointments under the Traffic Light system, regardless of colour. We encourage all clients to take advantage of contactless options if needed, and if you are unwell, please stay home until you are feeling better. Please visit our COVID-19 page for more information.

Our Promise to You

We are working hard to make sure you have access to hearing healthcare and appreciate your patience while we explore service options to keep you safe and healthy. Starting at Alert Level 2, our clinics will be open for in-person appointments but we encourage you to take advantage of our online and remote services as much as possible. There are inherent limitations to online and distance healthcare, but if you're in need of hearing help, don't wait. Check below to see if any of these options might work for you and contact your clinic.

Home-Based Appointments

Home-Based Appointments

We will not be doing any home-based appointments during Alert Level 4 or Level 3. We will update this option as soon as we are able.

Home-Based Appointments

Some of our audiologists can bring their equipment to you! This option is available to our clients if you're feeling healthy but not wanting to leave home. Our audiologists can do many things through their laptops so contact your clinic to see if this option could work for you.

If you are feeling unwell, please take this time to rest and feel better rather than scheduling a hearing care appointment.

From-the-Car Programming

From-the-Car Programming

If you need a small adjustment to your hearing aids, we might be able to bring our computer to the parking lot and adjust your devices while you sit in the car. This can be a great option to keep social distancing and still get your devices set just right.

Phone or Video Conferencing

Phone or Video Conferencing

If you need help with your current hearing aids, we can schedule a phone or video conference call.

Phone or Video Conferencing

Phone or vdeio conferencing is a great option to help with social distancing and can be really easy. Call your audiologist to see if this might work for your situation.

Hearing Aid Drop-Off or Shipping

Hearing Aid Drop-Off or Shipping

If you need us to check your hearing aid(s), you can drop them off or ship them to the clinic and we'll check them out.

Hearing Aid Drop-Off or Shipping

Rather than risking contact, it might be easier to simply drop off your devices. Just be sure to wash your hands before and after handling your hearing aids.

However, if you can't make a drop-off, you can post your hearing aid to our clinic. Be sure to leave a note describing the issue and we will get it fixed up. Once it's ready, we will post it back or contact you with next steps. *Note: be careful when shipping medical devices. Make sure you've insured your package and physically protected your hearing aid carefully.
